OVH Cloud Startup Deals & Discounts

OVHcloud's application-based startup program has two levels for companies, and our listing's €10,000 is the lower one:

• Start (startups): €10,000 of cloud credits for 12 months, plus 6 hours of one-to-one time with an engineer.
• Scale (scaleups): up to €100,000 of credits for 12 months, plus up to 20 hours with an engineer.

Both include visibility for the company and access to market and funding. The page lists no revenue, funding or age limit, and says only that it is for startups and scaleups, so the real entry bar is set in the review. Spread over the year, €10,000 averages about €833 of credit per month.

Neighbours in our catalog. Scaleway lists up to €36,000 and €500, Clever Cloud lists up to €100,000, and DigitalOcean lists $5,000. At the Start level OVHcloud sits between DigitalOcean and Scaleway, and its Scale ceiling matches Clever Cloud's.

A seed-stage team running a standard web stack on virtual machines. A year of credit funds two dozen small machines on OVHcloud's commitment pricing, so the money stretches into a second environment for staging.

An AI startup that wants managed notebooks and endpoints without renting a rack. The AI services are on the public price list, and the 6 engineer hours give a team someone to ask before money is spent.

A team with a data-residency promise to European customers. OVHcloud presents itself as a European cloud, which is the selling point for that buyer.

Skip: a company that needs a very large credit now. Start is €10,000, and the larger Scale level is described only as up to €100,000.

Skip: a team already deep in a hyperscaler's marketplace. Moving workloads costs engineering time that 6 hours of consultation will not cover.

Skip: anyone budgeting from our listing alone. Eligibility rules are not published on the program page.

The public cloud price page quotes dollars excluding VAT, with an hourly rate and a lower price on a 12-month plan:

Using our catalog's estimate that €10,000 is worth $11,000, the Start credit pays a year of 24 b3-8 machines, 12 b3-16 machines or 6 b3-32 machines on the 12-month plan. At the hourly rate a b3-8 comes to roughly $44 a month, so the plan is the cheaper way to spend a credit, as long as you are sure you will use the machines for the whole year. Exchange rates move, so the machine counts are indicative.
