Perplexity AI Startup Deals & Discounts

Our catalog carries two Perplexity entries. One is 50% off Enterprise Pro for 3 months, covering any number of seats, for eligible startups that are new to the product. The other is a headline of "save up to $6,000", aimed at companies with a live website and a LinkedIn or Crunchbase profile. No Perplexity page we could read describes a startup program, so both terms come from our listing alone.

Reading the 50%. Half of three months is one and a half months of the list price of each seat. The headline figure depends on how many seats you add, which is why the same deal is worth little to a founder alone and much more to a larger team.

Beside two other AI programs in our catalog. OpenAI lists up to $2,500 in API credits and 2 free ChatGPT Business seats for 2 months, which is 4 seat-months in all. Perplexity's discount is worth 1.5 seat-months for every seat, so from three seats up it passes OpenAI's seat offer in seat-months, though the two seats cost different amounts. Google Gemini lists 15% off any plan. The three are not substitutes: OpenAI's credits are for building, Perplexity's are for researching.

A research-heavy team of five or more. Analysts, founders doing diligence and consultants all spend their day finding and citing sources, and Pro and Max add finance and market data sources such as PitchBook, Statista and S&P Capital IQ. A discount that scales per seat rewards the larger team.

A startup that wants one AI subscription for the whole company. Perplexity routes between models, so a single seat gives access to several of them.

A team that wants agents across its apps. Computer and the connector library (400+ app connectors on paid plans) suit that, and Computer credits are priced into the plans.

Skip: a solo founder. A single seat on annual Pro costs $17 a month, so the discount has little room to matter.

Skip: a team that already pays for Enterprise Pro. The offer is for new users.

Skip: anyone who must budget past month three. The discount ends, and the seat price after that is not shown on the pages we could read.

Perplexity's pricing page lists individual plans: Free at $0; Pro at $17 a month when billed annually, with 4,000 bonus credits for Computer; Max at $167 a month billed annually, with 10,000 monthly credits and 35,000 bonus credits. Enterprise seat prices are not shown on the version of the page we could read, so we do not quote one.

A three-person team on annual Pro pays $612 a year; on annual Max, $6,012. To value the 50% offer, take the current monthly price per Enterprise Pro seat, multiply by 1.5, then multiply by your seat count. For example, a team of three gets 4.5 seat-months of free access: three seats times 1.5.

After month three the full price returns, so make sure the seat count you hold at that point is the one you intend to keep.
